![]() Very self-destructive sounding.īig comeback album following the loss of Chi. Memorable bangers like Hexagram, Needles and Pins, and the dreamy Minerva make this album moody and dark. **Beware's finale is, in my opinion, the undisputed best moment in the history of heavy music.Īnother overlooked album. Bob Ezrin's production is actually amazing and cohesive. Rats! and Rapture showcase some interesting heavy passages that haven't really appear again for Deftones. Songs like Beware and Hole in the Earth absolutely rule. Surprisingly solid effort considering how divided the band were. Lotion, Lhabia, BQAD, MX, the list goes on. Terry's production is warm and thick and the choruses here are catchy but still so badass. A significant improvement from Adrenaline. This album is phenomenal and so much fun. Crisp, clear production while still retaining the Deftones signature massive and chaotic sound. Deftones most successful and influential album.
